Rules for comedians

This is an open mic for amateurs and first-timers.
You do not need previous experience. But if you have experience you’re also welcomed of course!

Each comedian will have up to 5 minutes on stage. You can bring notes, read from your phone, test a short set, tell a ridiculous true story, or simply discover in real time whether this was a good idea.

A few basic rules:

• Keep it respectful.
• Do not attack people in the room.
• Dark humour is allowed. Being cruel for no reason is not.
• If you sign up, we are counting on you to show up.

This is not a competition and it is not a professional comedy night. It is a safe-ish place to try, fail, surprise yourself, and maybe get a laugh you were not expecting.

Although, in the end the audience will vote on the funniest wannabe comedian and there will be a small prize for the winner.
