The Academiae Obscuriae Book Club invites you once again into the depths of the Dark Academia world — where literature meets the eerie, the intellectual, and the unknown.
In our second gathering, we will explore The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson — a masterpiece of psychological horror that blurs the line between the supernatural and the human mind. Within the walls of Hill House, fear becomes intimate, madness whispers through the corridors, and the question lingers: is the haunting in the house, or within ourselves?
Led by Joana Bryant-Jorge, the session will unravel the novel’s gothic atmosphere, its complex characters, and the subtle terror that made Jackson a legend of modern literature. Join us for an evening of reflection, discussion, and mystery — over coffee, candlelight, and words that still echo long after the last page.
