Before Arthur’s story begins, Avalon must find its place in a changing world. Across successive generations, Caillean, Dierna and Viviane carry the responsibilities of its priestesses and confront the choices that will shape the island’s future.

Marion Zimmer Bradley links The Forest House with The Mists of Avalon in a novel that combines historical imagination with Arthurian myth. Through the lives of its women, the story follows the creation of the Holy Isle towards the birth of the king. This is the English-language paperback edition.
