I never did Stand-Up is an open mic night for amateurs, curious souls and people who have always said, “I’d probably be quite funny doing stand-up.”
The Story Owl stage opens itself to first timers: a few minutes at the microphone, a room ready to laugh with you — not at you, in principle — and the very real possibility that it might go surprisingly well or gloriously badly.
It’s not a competition. It’s not for professionals. It’s just a night of comedy without a safety net.
Although, in the end the audience will vote on the funniest wannabe comedian and there will be a small prize for the winner.
